A wealthy Arab monarch (Ricardo Montalban) offers $1 million to the winner of the infamous CannonballRun, a grueling, maniacal transcontinental tourney. but rules and sanity are blown out the window as famous faces turn up at every turn. Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. pose as cops trying to outrun the mob in a sparking red Corvette. When telly Savalas, the baddest hood in a bald head, tries to steal the race (literally), there s only one man to whom to turn. That s right. The Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra. Regarding scenery, Susan Anton and Catherine Bach teasingly tantalize as racers who knowall about fast cars and life in the cannonball lane. Especially when they discover what Joe Theismann has under the hood. But let s not forget out fearless hero. How can Reynolds possibly lose, disquised as a four-star general commanding a top-secret "Nukemobile?" Well…there s Dom DeLuise as his partner, who thinks he really is that daredevil to dare all devils, Captain Chaos. Together they must come to terms with two endearing nuns (Shirley MacLaine and Marilu Henner) just itching to bust out of some old "habits."
