Vintage Cornwall Furnace Lebanon County Pa 1742 Plate 10 1/4″ in diameter trim in gold Cornwall Furnace was build by Peter Grubb in 1742 Itis located in the midst of the three Cornwall Ore Hills proclaimed, at the time, to be almost pure magnetic iron ore. The Furnace cast cannon,shell and shot for Gen. George Washington’s Army during the Revolutionary War. Operations ceased in 1883 Lebanon County Trust Company Christmas 1977
