Universal China-“American Beauty Rose” Handled Cake Plate or chop plate. Red/Orange Roses on side with 22 carat gold trim. Measures 11 5/8″ scalloped hd. This piece does have crazing and some light brown spots under the glaze. There is also some wear on the gold trim. No cracks or chips. Marked on bottom “Protected by design patent #107564-65-65, Universal Potteries Inc,, Cambridge, Ovenproof. Warranted 22 carat gold. Used and in good condition.
