Pfaltzgraff:Heritage White Large Tureen w/ Underplate

Vintage…Pfaltzgraff… Heritage-White…Stoneware…York, White…Multisided… Large Tureen w/ Underplate NO LID! Embossed on the bottom “Pfaltzgraff USA”. This lovely large white stoneware tureen measures approximately 9 3/4″ (mouth) diameter x 11 1/2″ wide (from handle to handle) x 6 1/4″ high (all measurements taken without underplate). Underplate measures approximately 10 3/4″ diameter. There is crazing under the glaze on the tureen, but not the underplate. I do not have the lid; however, when I used this piece, I used to put the underplate right on top of the mouth and it fit nicely and would keep soups, etc hot. NOTE: I have inspected this piece and noticed that there are a few spots on the very bottom of the tureen where the manufacturer must have missed some “glazing/firing” but not noticeable unless well inspected (see photo)! There is also a manufacturing defect along the lip with some “roughness” present in 2 spots. This is a very nice, heavy piece with no nicks, chips or cracks. In good, used condition.
