Vintage Hand Painted Nappy Made in Japan. This nappy is primarily cream colored with red panels along the edge. One corner has a man fishing with boat in back of him; 2 diagonal corners have the identical picture of a red basket with yellow flowers in it (looks like tulips perhaps??); the other corner has a woman carrying rice baskets over her shoulder. The center of the nappy had a larger version of the red basket with yellow flowers in it; however, alot of the picture is worn off.It is marked on the back, I can only read “Hand Painted, Made in Japan, Patent Applied For”. Measures approximately 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ x 3/4″ high. There is alot of crazing under the glaze, but no chips or cracks.
