After the enormous success of Porky s in 1982, the enterprising writing team of Linda Shayne and Jim Wynorski, guided by their mentor Roger Corman, desided to take outrageous, irrevernt comedy to its outer limits in the scandalous and hilarious film Screwballs. It s 1965 and the randy students at good ol Taft and Adams HIgh School ( T&A for short) are whipping themselfs into a frenzy over the impending homecoming game. Everyone, that is, except the five boys who have been sent to detention through the meddlesome efforts of T& A s beauitful but uptight homecomeing queen, Purity Busch. Revenge is the name of the game when the boys make a pact to get even with Purity by deflowering the virtuous virgin before the big game Friday night. Maybe the kids in your high school were a little crazy, but these buys are absolutely WILD! From a strip bowling contest, to hypnotizing the girl s swim team, to spiking the PTA punch bowl with an aphrodisiac, these Screwballs are definitely out of control. Even in their quieter moments like during study hall or while relaxing at the beach, you ll have to see to belive how the Screwballs manage to bring a new and incredible meaning to the expression "Gross me out!"
