Centennial..Berne… Indiana…1852-1952…Education History… Collector Plate. Plate measuresw approximately 10″ diameter. The back of the plate reads “Berne is proud of her schools. The old log bldg pictured was the first schoolhouse built in 1852, Abraham J. Sprunger was teacher…etc…The front on the plate is blue & white in color and features (around the edge) pictures and words of past & present highlights and history of schools and education. The center has the words “Centennial..Berne…Indiana..1852-1952…Um Schritt Gottes… with a picture of a cross with a man and woman standing with the word “Helvetia” under the people. Great piece to add to your collection! There are no nicks, chips or cracks. In good, used condition.
