A picture of the Outside of the church the the words under the picture (The First Evangelical United Brethren Church Burnham, Pennsylvania-1909-1959) on the back (The First Evangelical United Brethren Church Burnham,is the result of the ministry of Dr. U.F.Swengle, who while pastor of Grace Church,Lewisburg, peached in an old house which stood where the church now stands. The central Pennsylvania Conference of March ,1908, appointed Rev. E.I.Confer to serve the newly organized First Church. The first class consisting of 17 were received into church membership in March,1908. For several years the congregation worshipped in the old house which in 1909 was removed and the present church building erected. Gound was broken for the church building in July, 1909,and the cornerstone was laid October 3, 1909. OnMarch 13,1910, Bishop Rudolph Dubbs dedicated the building, which id build of brick with parsonage attached..)
