Anchor Hocking Vienna Lace 1972-1976 Vienna Lace was listed only as a dinnerware gift set in Anchor Hocking’s catalogs from 1972-1976. The only way Vienna Lace could be bought was by the set of 20 or 45 pieces. It was not an open stock pattern;thus, you could not order individual pieces to supplement a set.
Vienna Lace may be overlooked by collectors for a couple of reasonsbut mainly, because the pattern does not show on some of the pieces. You could bypass the cup, saucer, creamer, or sugar if you are looking for the Vienna Lace pattern on them. Some sets may have come with pieces that have a platinum edge only. The platter, plate, and straight-sided cereal were all found with sets of Vienna Lace. Catalogs do not show this occurence, but it seems to have happened. A possibility is that since Vienna Lace was only sold in sets, these may have been the only replacement pieces available. The sugar and creamer are the stacking style, but the cup is not. The cup is straight sided and non-tapered, similar to a mug. The small bowl only has the center star of the decal as the bowl was too small to accomodate the entire Vienna Lace motif.Dinner Plate 10″ in diameter some wear to the platinum Trim no chips or cracks in over all good condition..
