The Mentor was a quality magazine, containing articles from science, art, travel, history & literature. The magazine featured contains 12 pages with a front and back soft cover. Featured articles include: “Russian Choirs & Basses”; “Italian & French Influences”; “Glinka, the Pioneer”; “Rubinstein, the Russian Mendelssohn”; “Tchaikovsky, the Melancholy”; “Moussorgsky & Musical Nihilism”; “Rimsky-Korsakov & the Nationalists”; “Stravinsky & the Russian Ballet”; “The Character of Russian Music” all with lovely black & white photographs. The binding on the magazine has masking tape along the binding to secure the pages. There are no ink marks or tears on the pages. The cover is a little worn with slight rough edges and light tears; but overall, in good condition for its age. Great piece to add to your collection! In good, used condition.
