Imperial Glass introduced its NuCut line in 1914 so that ordinary folks could buy pretty glass that imitated the expensive American Brilliant glass favored by the very rich. This celery dish is in the harder to find #537 pattern and is a celery, though it’s wide enough to be used for bread/rolls or even as an ice cream roll tray. Sawtooth edge and lots of hobstars predominate in this pattern. It measures 11 1/8″ long, 6″ wide, and 2 1/8″ high. . It glows a soft yellow when exposed to UV light, and it’s marked NuCut in raised letters in the center. No Chips or Cracks..
