Each shotglass has an enameled medallion with the Coat of Arms of the city of Berammergau, Landshutt, Regensburg, Augsburg, Traubing & Ulm a.D. They were made in Germany in the 1950’s. The tradition of personalized shotglasses was very strong in the military, something like the tradition of regimental or reservisten beer steins. It was an excellent gift, sometimes, a trophy prize. Usually made of silver-silverplated for lower ranks. In many cases, the officer’s clubs ordered personalized silver shotglasses for the officers. It was used for Schnapps-the german version of Vodka. Please note that in the US, the word “Schnapps” is usually used for something different-liquers. Each shotglass measures approximately 1 1/2″ high x 1 1/4″ (top) diameter. They are each marked on the bottom with “EPB”. Great collector’s set and a piece of history! There is some tranishing on each one, but I believe this is due to the age. In good, used condition.

It has the dark green crown between 2 crossed swords Rosenthal mark, underlined & then “Bavaria”. It also has “Handpainted” under the mark. There is a gold “89” to the upper right of the mark.The Platter dates after 1921 & is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing in the finish. The luscious apples?? are framed with leafy branches & lovely flowers in shades of pink & rose with pink and yellow dusting around the rim and a gold trim . There is some wear on the gold edging as would be expected with this age.
